"A Blues Holiday" by Bettie Mae Fikes

Bettie Mae Fikes has provided over forty years of song and service to the Civil Rights Movement as an original 1964 Students for Non Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) Freedom Singer. Produced by Grammy Award winner Ben Wright. Tour dates to be announced.
We are proud to introduce   "I'm Taking a Blues Holiday"

“ I felt a tremendous power in Bettie's voice, and when she began to sing, an immence  tingle went down my neck.  Afterwards, I told Bettie how I felt about her singing.  The look she gave me, the warm hug...it topped the chart of good feelings.”
Jesse Anderson, Student, George Washington High, San Francisco

“I felt that I could relate to Bettie...that music was passionate, it moved me...when she was singing, I just wanted to get up on stage and sing with her.
Jose Gonzalez, Student, George Washington High, San Francisco,

"When I'm dead and gone-if my music could just help somebody in the struggle."  Bettie Mae Fikes
